Chemistry 101 Production Crew - 2011
Wes completed the script for Chemistry 101 in 2009. Shooting and editing began in January, 2010. Filming was completed with a crew which consisted of Wes and Rebekah. Wes was the on-camera talent, so the positions of camera operator, lighting, continuity and sound were handled by his oldest daughter.
Once they started filming, Wes spent all of 2010 & 2011 in post production creating visually rich graphics and editing footage into the final product: Chemistry 101. After the editing was completed Wes created the Guidebook and Accreditation Booklet to accompany the curriculum.
Rebekah was responsible for the camera work, sound, lighting and continuity. Wes taught her the basics of how to use the camera and they began shooting the first scene. From there on out she was behind the camera for every shot.
Rebekah traveled Washington and Idaho with Wes for over two months as they gathered specific on-location shots and spiced up the film with unique locations.
Lucas composed the music for Chemistry 101 using a library of music to develop the score. He spent hours watching and catching the mood of each scene to carry the student on an engaging journey. He completed all 11 hours of the Chemistry 101 sound track in less than three months.
Micah designed the DVD entrapment and disc artwork. He was responsible for hand-coding CSS and HTML in Dreamweaver, creating the Westfield and Chemistry 101 websites. Micah did graphic design, picture placement and creative writing for the 101 series websites.
