“Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the very heart of your house; your children like olive plants all around your table.”  —Psalm 128:3

The Olsons

Wes and his wife Tammy met while attending Multnomah Bible College and were married the day after graduation, twenty-three years ago. They lived in the Portland, Oregon area until moving to rural Idaho in April, 2000.

Wes and Tammy have four children (all homeschooled): Lucas (22), Micah (19), Rebekah (15) and Hannah (8). Wes and Tammy are committed to having a close-knit family that works, prays, and plays together. They realize more everyday how dependent they need to be on God, and how important a good marriage is to the health of the family as a whole. They have two firm dates: every day they spend about an hour walking together, discussing what's happening with themselves and the children, spiritual issues, and their thoughts about the future, and once a month, on the “anniversary day” of their marriage, they have a date to celebrate their love and commitment to each other.

The Olson sons have enjoyed many outdoor adventures with their Dad, such as camping, hiking, and knife throwing. Lucas is an Eagle Scout and makes and sells custom handcrafted knives at Lucas Olson Knives. He is currently working as a goldsmith. Micah is also an Eagle Scout and is currently working in construction. He also has intrests in photography, website and graphic design. You can view his work at Micah V. Olson

Tammy and the girls enjoy gardening, crafts, cooking, and interior decorating. The girls are growing into young ladies, with their focus on the high calling of becoming godly wives and mothers.
